April is unwavering in her support of reproductive rights and a woman’s right to choose, and she is disturbed by the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, stripping away the decades-held constitutional right to abortion. As a mom to four daughters who now have fewer rights than she had, April knows that the need for federal legislation protecting reproductive freedom is urgent now more than ever.
April supports codifying Roe into law, and on day one, will co-sponsor the Women’s Health Protection Act, which will protect and re-establish abortion rights, and ensure the future of reproductive healthcare remains safe, legal, and accessible.
