Gaithersburg, MD – The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), representing thousands of hardworking union members across Maryland, has officially endorsed April McClain Delaney for Congress in Maryland’s 6th District.
With its diverse membership working in industries ranging from aviation and defense, to technology and public services, the IAM is known for its long-standing commitment to ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions, and worker protections. The endorsement reflects April McClain Delaney’s strong commitment to standing up for Maryland’s working families and her dedication to championing economic fairness in Congress.
“I am honored to have the support of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers,” said April McClain Delaney. “IAM members form the backbone of many of our critical industries here in Maryland, and I am committed to fighting for their right to fair wages, good benefits, and dignity in the workplace. In Congress, I will be a voice for every worker and family striving for economic security and a better future.”
“April McClain Delaney knows firsthand the challenges that working families in Maryland face. IAM Union members working in Maryland’s airports, military bases, rail stations, libraries, Apple stores, and more will have a champion in the 6th Congressional District with April by their side,” said Maryland State Council of Machinists President Rick Compher. “We are proud to support her campaign for Congress, and we know she will help the IAM Union bring dignity and justice on the job to more Maryland working families.”
