Gaithersburg, MD – Today, the April McClain Delaney for Congress campaign released a new TV ad, “That’s Wrong,” highlighting Neil Parrott’s troubling record of voting against common sense protections for domestic abuse and sexual assault survivors – a record that underscores Parrott’s disregard for the safety and well-being of the most vulnerable in our community.

“Domestic violence is not just a deeply personal issue—it’s a matter of life and death for countless women, children, and families. In Congress, I will not only support the Violence Against Women Act but also work to strengthen and expand this critical legislation, ensuring comprehensive protections and resources for survivors, and holding abusers accountable,” said April McClain Delaney.

The ad, which comes from the perspective of Megan LeRoux, a domestic violence advocate from Frederick’s Heartly House, highlights the real threat posed by domestic violence, and underscores the danger Neil Parrott would present to victims if elected to Congress.

“Neil Parrott has consistently stood on the wrong side of critical issues, and his opposition to legislation protecting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault makes that clearer than ever,” said April McClain Delaney.
