Gaithersburg, MD – Today, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced the addition of April McClain Delaney, candidate for Maryland’s 6th Congressional District, to its highly competitive ‘Red to Blue’ program. This designation recognizes McClain Delaney’s strong candidacy and growing momentum to hold the 6th District seat.
“April McClain Delaney is a common-sense leader who will champion the issues that matter most to everyday Marylanders like lowering costs, creating good-paying jobs, and protecting fundamental rights and freedoms,” said DCCC Chair Rep. Suzan DelBene. “Meanwhile, April’s extreme opponent would be dangerous for Maryland families. Neil Parrott has advocated for total abortion bans, defended spousal rape exceptions, and voted against measures that keep Marylanders safe.”
Maryland’s 6th District is the most competitive House race in the state, and could be pivotal in determining which party controls the House in November. The DCCC’s ‘Red to Blue’ program offers top-tier Democratic candidates critical resources and strategic support to secure victory in key battleground districts. April McClain Delaney’s inclusion in the program highlights the strength of her campaign and the Democratic Party’s commitment to keeping Maryland’s 6th District blue.
“I’m thrilled to join the DCCC’s ‘Red to Blue’ program and to have the full support of the Democratic Party as we enter the final stretch of our campaign,” said April McClain Delaney. “From day one, our mission has been clear: bring common sense and common ground values to Maryland’s 6th District. Whether it’s defending our rights, lowering costs for families, or growing a strong economy – our campaign is committed to delivering real solutions that make a difference in Marylander’s lives.”
