Gaithersburg, MD – Today, Gonzales Research released a new poll on Maryland’s 6th Congressional District showing Neil Parrott narrowly leading April McClain Delaney by just 2 points, with 41% to Delaney’s 39%. This follows a recent poll conducted by the National Republican Congressional Committee, which had McClain Delaney ahead, leading Parrott 42% to 40%.
“The polls underscore what we’ve long known: the race for Maryland’s 6th District is one of the most competitive in the country, with control of the U.S. House of Representatives likely to be determined right here,” said Nick London, McClain Delaney’s Campaign Manager.
“Neil Parrott isn’t just a conservative; he’s an out-of-this-world extremist with radical positions that are not only out of touch with Maryland values, but have rendered him ineffective in the Maryland General Assembly. If elected, Maryland voters will pay the price for his divisive agenda.”
The Delaney campaign recently launched a new TV ad, Center, which will run district wide, and reminds voters of Parrott’s extremism and the dangers of electing him to Congress.
