Gaithersburg, MD – Congressional candidate for Maryland’s 6th District April McClain Delaney has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood Action Fund, one of the nation’s leading reproductive rights organizations working to defend reproductive health care.
Speaking on the endorsement, Alexis McGill Johnson, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Action Fund said, “Access to reproductive health care, including abortion, is under threat now more than ever before. We know that if anti-abortion politicians gain a majority in the House, we’ll see a legislative agenda that seeks to ban abortion nationwide. In the race for MD-06, McClain Delaney faces off against a staunch anti-abortion activist, former state Delegate Neil Parrott, who has repeatedly sponsored or co-sponsored legislation to restrict abortion access, at times even in the case of rape or incest.
